Carnelian is one of the first crystals I found myself really drawn to for healing purposes. It helped me tremendously while I was learning to set healthier boundaries in relationships and heal my codependent tendencies. It also helped to lift the depression I had been living with and aligned me with a much more joyful energy. It is now one of my favorite crystals to use for healing purposes. Spiritually: Carnelian is a good stone to use during meditation and offers spiritual protection to those who use it. It is also helpful in recalling past lives and healing karma from the past. Carnelian helps us to keep our intentions pure when we exercise our free will. It opens, clears, and balances the Sacral Chakra.

I consider Carnelian a “must have” stone for my crystal healing toolkit. It is my favorite crystal to use over the Sacral Chakra and is what I would recommend for the Sacral Chakra if one were only wanting to create a Chakra balancing set of healing crystals. It is a common stone, inexpensive and easy to find at crystal and metaphysical shops.
