Hematite is one of my favorite stones and I use it daily. I have a fairly large one next to my computer to give me some protection from electromagnetic pollutants while I work. I have found it tremendously helpful in situations in which I felt fearful. I also find it to be a good stone to keep myself grounded and increase concentration and focus. Physically: Hematite is a supportive stone to those trying to deal with addiction because of the increases will, confidence, and grounding it offers the user and it decreases the strength of cravings. It is great for supporting the circulatory system and complementing treatments for blood disorders and high blood pressure. It also supports healthy kidney function. Hematite eases physical pain, cramping, and inflammation, and increases strength and energy making it wonderful for those who suffer from chronic illnesses such as Fibromyalgia and Lyme Disease. It also offers some protection from electromagnetic pollution.

Mentally: Hematite is fantastic for increasing focus and concentration. It also increases self-confidence and encourages a positive mindset.

Emotionally: On an emotional level, Hematite is useful for dealing with and letting go of anger. It can also be used to ease emotional pain.

Spiritually: Hematite is good for clearing and balancing the Root Chakra. It can be useful in helping one to get grounded and to get into a meditative state. It also increases awareness, balance, and harmony.

I highly recommend Hematite as an aid for those suffering feelings of fear or anxiety, as well as those who suffer from ADD and ADHD. It is a really great stone for grounding. I think the heavy weight of it increases its grounding effects. It may have slight natural magnetic properties so caution should be used by those with pacemakers and they should avoid completely artificial magnetized Hematite.
