When Challenges Arise, do not Worry, Grow

My life partner setting an ethical boundary at work this week ended up having a big impact on our family.  The situation pushed him to part ways with his employer and make a move to start his own business sooner than he had planned.  His employer also happens to be our landlord.  Our lease expired a while back and we never renewed.  The day after my partner had to make a stand, our landlord came to the door to inform us that we were welcome to stay, but our rent will be raised by three hundred dollars a month.  The rent increase, coupled with the tension between my partner and the landlord, made it apparent that we needed to move and quickly.

We are suddenly being faced with some really big changes.  I cannot deny that I felt the heaviness of change and uncertainty and a lot of pressure to find my family a new home and get us packed and moved in such a short time.  I feel the pressure, but I do not worry.

The Reiki Principles tell us, just for today, do not worry.  My belief our ability to create our own reality lets me know that there is nothing to worry about.  I am an optimist.  So far, I have survived everything that has ever been thrown at me.  I have learned hard lessons and I have gone through some incredibly challenging struggles, however I have not only survived them, but I also learned, and I grew from them.  At this point in my life when a challenge like I am currently facing arises, I feel excited by it.  I know that it is Spirit, or the Universe, leading me somewhere new.  I still feel the pressure and some stress, but worry is replaced by eagerness to see how it will all work out for my highest good.

Because I do not worry, I am able to think clearly and start working on what needs to be done with solutions running through my mind rather than the problems.  As a result, we were able to get everything in order for his business and my partner has already been presented with an amazing opportunity for networking through a new client.  A new home has already presented itself to us and we are both able to see so much potential for our family to live there happily until we are ready to invest in home ownership.

When challenges arise, try not to see them as roadblocks, but rather as a new path lighting up for you to follow.  Look for the lessons in the struggle and find the opportunity in the solution.  Know that you deserve good things and that if you do your best not to anger or worry, and to be grateful, honorable and kind, you will be able to align yourself with the good that is your right.  Do not worry when life challenges you, grow.
