My favorite practice taught by Eckhart Tolle is that of the One Conscious Breath. Eckhart teaches that practicing mindfulness doesn’t have to be a long and involved process. Just one deep breath is enough to ground us in the present moment and center ourselves in consciousness. One deep breath is enough to interrupt the constant stream of thinking and give our minds a break.

Teaching my Kids About Their Conscience

I want my kids to know that their conscience isn’t a voice in their head judging their decisions and waiting to punish them when they make mistakes. I want them to realize it is the voice of their higher selves and that it is all knowing and all loving and only wishes to guide them toward their joy.

Finding Stillness in a Chaotic Mind

Finding stillness in all the chaos of our minds can have great benefits. At the most basic level, it gives us a reprieve and lowers our stress and anxiety. It helps us to get in touch with our bodies and our world. Taking it deeper, according to Eckhart Tolle’s teachings, moments without thought are the key to finding a new dimension of consciousness within ourselves.
